Backup & Restore
Create and restore manual backups of your Minecraft server.
MC-Vector provides a built-in backup system. All backups are manual — there is no automatic or scheduled backup feature.
Creating a Backup
- Open your server and navigate to the Backups tab.
- Choose a compression level:
| Level | Speed | File Size |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Fastest | Largest |
| 5 | Balanced | Medium |
| 9 | Slowest | Smallest |
- Click Create Backup.
MC-Vector generates a .zip archive of your server files.
Where Backups are Saved
| Platform | Path |
|---|---|
| macOS | ~/Library/Application Support/MC-Vector/servers/<name>/backups/ |
| Windows | C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\MC-Vector\servers\<name>\backups\ |
Restoring a Backup
⚠️ Warning
Restoring a backup will overwrite your current server files. Stop the server first.
- Go to the Backups tab.
- Find the backup you want to restore.
- Click Restore and confirm the dialog.
Once restored, start the server to resume from the backup.
Deleting Backups
Click the trash icon next to any backup in the Backups tab to delete it and free up disk space.
